I come from Tororo district, Rubongi subcounty. I am the first born of the four children in my family and both our parents are still alive. They are peasants who strive to get a living, they paid my school fees from Kidera primary school where I got 28 aggregates. They again paid my O’ level at Rubongi secondary school where I got 51 aggregates and my A’ level at the same school and I obtained 12 points from History, Divinity, Geography and ICT. After completing high school, my parents told me to sit home and dig with them because there was no money to send me to university. But one fateful day, as I tuned in to a local Radio station, I heard the talk about the MasterCard scholarship at Makerere university. I hastily picked the forms, filled them and took them back. After some months, I was called for the interviews, a home visit was done and I was called to start school. I am pursuing a Bachelors degree of Arts with Education. My ambition has always been to become a teacher and MasterCard scholars program has aided me with achieving this. I get daily chances of interacting and associating with different people from the different parts of Uganda and Africa. I even have a mentor who guides and counsels me academically! My dream now is to finish campus, get a job and invest in several businesses. I also want to give back to my community and educate the orphans around my community
