Kikomeko Musa

GENDER: Male

PROGRAMME: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

COLLEGE: College of Computing and Information Sciences

STUDY PERIOD: 2015 to 2018

BRIEF BIO ON SCHOLAR

Musa hails from the remote village of Bukulula, Kalungu district in central Uganda. He was born in a polygamous family, he is the 13th  out of 24 children; He started his academic journey at Lukaya Education Centre from where he scored aggregate 12, a first grade, in the Primary Leaving Examinations. He proceeded to Wagwa High School in 2009 and scooped 26 points, a first grade, in his UCE in 2012. However, because they were many children at home, his parents could not afford school fees to take him to high school. Luckily The MasterCard Foundation at Brac offered him a scholarship; with it he enrolled for his A ‘level at Masaka Secondary School. He excelled in his final exams in 2014; however, he had no hope of joining University. Luck was on his side; once again he was offered another scholarship to pursue his University education at Makerere, through The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program. He is currently undertaking a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science. Musa aspires to become an ICT expert, so that he can help his community with any ICT related challenges. His vision is to help other needy young people improve their well-being, by sharing with them any information, which can benefit them. Musa has passion for reading novels, playing football and making friends. He is grateful to The MasterCard Foundation for the support rendered to him, which has brought him to where he is at the moment.
